Sandi Goforth

Sandi Goforth - San Antonio AuthorThe soil from which writing grows is composed of rich life experiences and a few genes! My dad, a pastor, emigrated from Belfast, Ireland to Canada, married a beautiful nurse, and eventually settled the family in Wisconsin. As a young girl sitting in that front pew listening to Dad’s sermons year after year, I am sure that’s where some of those verbal genes took root. So, after an English and Drama teaching career, marriage to my Southern husband, Walt, with whom I have raised four very verbal children, those genes have yielded fruit- a passion to write.

With plenty of encouragement from husband, adult children, eleven grandkids, plus an abundance of life experiences, I am motivated to continue to weed and water these plantings.

Over the years, I have been privileged to publish various magazine articles, adapt short stories into plays, and write lectures for women’s Bible Studies. My most recent writing projects center around memoirs, devotionals, and marriage issues. My first book, A Time to Embrace: A Guide to Intimacy and Passion Through Changing Seasons of Marriage, was published in October 2017. If the Lord allows, I would like to publish devotionals and memoirs, which highlight the redemptive work of His Grace in my life.
