December 19 He Hears Our Prayers

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer… 1Peter 3:12a (NIV)

With Christmas around the corner, my husband and I think of our grandchildren. Each of them displays the unique fingerprints of God. In His design, He made us grandparents, saved by grace and faithful in prayer, our finest gift.

Scotty the oldest, struggles with reading due to dyslexia. May compassion guide his heart in service as a fireman, never forgetting that Jesus saves.
We pray that Sache, a talented photographer and artist, discern the lead of the Holy Spirit each time she focuses on her subject.
Luke, mildly autistic, “sees” the world through touch. Lord, guide his hands.

Enzo’s leadership develops on the soccer field. Deepen his patience, self-control, and humility at a game won, and show him how to experience peace in loss.

Nevin oozes love through reading and writing. May he bloom and grow in the Gifted and Talented Program and bless the world.

Violet Grace is a dancing miracle. Almost four, she conquers Hirschsprung’s Disease daily. She’s survived fourteen surgeries. “Hear me roar!” she sings victoriously. Let Violet ROAR to God’s Glory. May her exuberance encourage others.

A born leader, Luke J. listens to Big Dog’s heartbeat through grandfather’s stethoscope at our veterinary clinic then declares, “I’m a doctor!” Train Him Lord in the way he should go.

For recently-adopted Daniel and Davian, I pray they will know and trust your love, Jesus.

Thank you, Lord, for your promise to be attentive to our prayers.
