Hill Country Christian Writers, in conjunction with the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library, is offering four free writing classes starting on January 23. Hear from published authors on writing basics, writing software, how to find an agent, and your choices in publishing platforms. Get rejuvenated and get your book done in 2018!

January 23: Sheri Hunt, author of The Oldest Sin in the Book and Journeys In and Out, will speak on Creating Stories through Character Development and Infusing Action. Learn how to make your stories become those that cannot be put down.

January 30: Finding a literary agent is an important step on the road to publication, but what’s the first step in finding an agent? And, once you find one, what’s next? Multi-published author Allison Pittman will take participants through the search from cyber space to writers’ conferences, offering advice gleaned from her 12 years of experience in the publishing world.

February 6: Susan Macias author of Unceasing: A Parent’s Guide to Conquer Worry and Pray with Power will teach an introductory class on Scrivener and Marketing Your Book before and after Publication.

February 13: Judy Sheer Watters, author of 3 books and co-owner of Franklin Scribes Publishing, will teach on Your Publishing Options: Traditional, Self-publishing, or Hybrid. Pros and cons of each option will be discussed regarding royalties, credibility, timeline, distribution, quality, and upfront costs to the author.
